Do you need a permit for your skip hire?
When it comes to the price of your skip hire, knowing whether it will be placed on public or private land is important as this can have an effect on the price. This is because a skip placed on public land will need approval from the local council via a permit.
What counts as public land for my skip?
If you’re a homeowner, basically anything that isn’t your own drive or garden is classed as public land, so if your skip is going to be placed (even partly) outside your property you will need a permit.
